I Support the 1%, Veteran Food Pantry

I Support the 1%, Veteran Food Pantry Less than 1% of the American public serve in the Military. Of those, our part-time military often suffers economically because of long deployments.

The mission of 'I SUPPORT THE 1%' is to provide a Food Pantry for active duty Military, National Guardsmen and women, Reservists of all Branches, and Veterans throughout Michigan. While full-time military have a constant paycheck, Guards and Reservists do not. They're paid for only one weekend a month of training and their month of summer training. Other than that, they must support themselves. Ye

t, due to long-term deployments, many return to find the well-paying job they once held no longer there for them. Employers simply are unwilling to hire our Guards and Reservists because of these potential deployments. This means too many hold low-paying or part-time jobs that just can't meet their bills. But why a Pantry just for these military? Because too many have too much pride in their uniform to appear needy before the public, and just choose to go hungry. This should not happen. Please visit our website and consider donating to our tax-deductible 501(c)(3) IRS registered nonprofit to keep our Military, Guards and Reservists and Veterans fed!

We are very excited to have received the brand new upright freezer today that we purchased from the Home Depot Store in Bay City. Our older freezer started having major issues after the power surge to our pantry that was caused by limbs not being cut away from the Consumer Power lines. Thank you Manager Scott Dashkovitz for giving us a discounted price on the freezer. Scott was originally at the Thomas Township Store and has supported our pantry along with many other employees for a great number of years 🇺🇸
