A Gift Rooted in Humility, Experience, and Purpose.
Meet Mr. Issac Sunday — a son of Cameroon, now based in the United States, whose journey from hardship to hope has blossomed into a mission to uplift others.
As someone who once trekked to school for almost three years without shoes or a backpack, Mr. Sunday knows firsthand what it means to lack access to basic educational tools. But he never let those challenges define his future.
Today, he’s the founder of the American Foundation Academy in Bonaberi, Douala — a school modeled after American educational standards to give children in Cameroon the kind of quality education he never had.
He is also the CEO of the American-Cameroon Shipping Center in Houston, Texas, where his company offers 50% discounts on all items shipped to Cameroon — another way of giving back to the community that raised him.
Now, through the Mbu Foundation, Mr. Sunday has donated 10 complete desktop computers to support the Mbu Community School — a powerful step toward digital empowerment for our children back home. This donation is more than just equipment; it is a bridge to opportunity, skills, and a brighter future.
And his generosity doesn’t stop there — Mr. Sunday also made a heartfelt contribution of $300 to support the Mbu Multipurpose Business Center, one of the community’s greatest development projects.
In his own words, his father gave him the best education — not just in books, but in values. And today, he’s passing those same lessons to his own son, who walks with him in his warehouse, learning through action.
🙏🏽 Thank you, Mr. Issac Sunday, for turning your story into service, your struggle into support, and your success into a blessing for generations to come.
The Mbu Foundation and the entire Mbu community are deeply grateful. May your kindness inspire many more to give where they can.
