The Caring Force Speaking out for Massachusetts' human services and the people they serve! It's a win-win for everybody, and it is long overdue.

The Caring Force, the first-ever broad-based grassroots advocacy movement for human services in Massachusetts. We are a community of advocates who care about supporting the social safety net that provides care to one-in-ten Massachusetts residents. We are the direct care staff, clients/consumers, nonprofit leaders, board members and volunteers, and family and friends who care about funding a stron

g human services system. The primary goal of The Caring Force is to create an environment in Massachusetts that protects our most vulnerable neighbors and creates a stronger economy with the pay, recognition, and respect our workers deserve.

Meet our August Workforce Hero: Tamsin McNally! 💛
Tamsin never planned a career in human services — "It was never actually my plan to get into this field," she says. Twenty-four years later, she leads a specialized program at Opportunity Works in Newburyport, supporting individuals aging with Down syndrome and dementia.

Last Friday, The Caring Force joined 18 Degrees Family Services for Western MA in Pittsfield for their 4th Annual Youth Recognition and Celebration, honoring program graduates for their achievements. We encourged attendees to check their voter registration status and shared the save-the-date for our Western MA Rally on Sept. 18 at Westfield State University!

Happy National Nonprofit Day! 🎉 Today we're celebrate every organization that fills the gaps, lifts up the vulnerable, and shows up for people who need it most. Nonprofits do the work that keeps communities standing, often with too little recognition and even less pay. Here in our sector, our nonprofit providers fill the gaps of care, to ensure every person in the Commonwealth is supported. Thank you for all you do!
