Because the Department did not give us permission and because we are under direct control of them. We have to cancel our June meeting. We are only allowed to have a meeting if they say we can have one. Also they said as of today, they have not received any letters or answers to their list they sent us. Even though most if not all member just started receiving the letters on Tuesday.

When the State Department of American Legion suspended the Frackville Charter, they told us all programs including the ones to benefit Veterans had to cease. Two veterans took it upon themselves to not let the program of putting flags on Veteran Graves, fall to the wayside. Steve and Brian coordinated with North Schuylkill school district and today with the help of our local students put flags on every cemetery located in Frackville area. The American Legion salutes these veterans and thanks all the students from North Schuylkill School District that helped.
