The weather is looking beautiful, and we are getting our gardening gloves ready!

📣 Calling all gardeners and those wishing to garden!

🌷 Frackville Downtown needs volunteers to help w**d, trim, and occasionally edge and mulch the Welcome to Frackville Garden located at the intersection of Rt. 61 and Altamont Boulevard.

Volunteers will meet every third Thursday of the month May through October at 10AM.
• Must bring own gardening tools such as clippers, trowels, and gloves.
• No experience necessary; just a positive attitude and open mind to learning.

🌱 High school students to seniors welcome (special hours for students if necessary). It’s a great opportunity to bring beauty to Frackville, get some sunshine and meet your neighbors!

In March, Frackville Downtown recognized Jennifer's Nail Salon, located on S. Lehigh Avenue, with their monthly Frackville Downtown Appreciation Award.

This is the second time the nail salon has received the award with the first being in 2023.

Always looking to improve, owners Jennifer and Andrew Dao recently updated both the exterior and interior of the salon giving it a whole new, classic look.

Frackville Downtown appreciates the fresh look of the facade and the attention to detail by the owners who added plants to their display windows. Future plans include outside pots of annual flowers in late spring.

🏆 Frackville Downtown presented their Monthly Appreciation Award for October to Dr. Richard Adams, DC of Adams Chiropractic located on S. Lehigh Avenue.

For 80 years this office space has been occupied by a chiropractor. Some Frackville residents will remember Dr. Bernand who occupied it for 40 years and later Dr. Bucklar for 14 years.

Dr. Adams began his chiropractic practice there in 1994. A 2024 Readers’ Choice winner voted Best Chiropractor, Dr. Adams offers chiropractic adjunctive procedures including massage therapy. He recently enhanced his practice by acquiring “The Wave Machine,” one of only three in the state of Pennsylvania, used for treating tendinitis and bursitis. Frackville Downtown appreciates the excellent services Dr. Adams provides for his patients, as well as his handsome office space both inside and out. Frackville Downtown is proud to have Dr. Adams as part of the Frackville community.
