The Jerry “Moose” Mullin Scholarship Foundation is pleased to announce the first annual “Moose Mullin Scholarship” recipients. This year’s scholarships were awarded to Luke Schlavensky and Allison (Pickhardt) Zimmerman.
Luke graduated from Winnebago Lutheran Academy (WLA) as class Salutatorian with a 4.21 GPA. A brief illustration of Luke’s high school accomplishments includes having been a three-sport athlete for four years. Luke received high honors every semester and was first team all-conference academic team and was a WIAA Scholar Athlete Finalist. He was on the math team and participated in Badger Boys State. Luke is very involved in his church where he volunteered as the IT tech. He performed community service with Loaves and Fishes. He worked for Mr. Mullin at Mullin’s Drive-In for five years. Luke attends the Milwaukee School of Engineering where he has continued to excel, making Dean’s List and high honors every semester. Luke spent this last year studying abroad in New Zealand until the Covid 19 pandemic made him return home early this spring. He has a 3.84 GPA and is studying to be a computer engineer.
Allison graduated from Randolph High School with a 3.96 GPA. A brief look at her high school accomplishments includes, high honor roll and math team for four years, Allison was also academic all-conference and a member of the National Honor Society. She excelled as a two-sport athlete in high school and went on to play collegiate volleyball at the University of Sioux Falls in South Dakota. Allison graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science in seven semesters while maintaining high honors and graduating with a GPA of 3.93. Allison is very active in her church and college, she has volunteered for numerous nonprofit organizations, including American Red Cross and Milwaukee Rescue Mission. Allison worked for Mr. Mullin for three years. Allison is currently studying occupational therapy at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and is maintaining high honors with a GPA of 3.803. She anticipates graduating in December of 2O20 with her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy. Allison would like to own her own clinic one day.
