Freedom Truck to visit Otterbein next week.........

OTTERBEIN, INDIANA. – As communities across the country begin preparations for the United States’ 250th anniversary, Freedom 250 is bringing one of its traveling Mobile Museums, known as “Freedom Trucks,” to Benton County, offering visitors a unique opportunity to explore the nation’s history through an interactive exhibit designed for all ages.

Just like Freedom 250’s upcoming signature events like: Rededicate 250, Great American State Fair, Memorial Day Parade, and Evening Candlelight gathering, Sail4th 250, Salute to America, or the Patriot Games, the Freedom Trucks channel that same spirit of American pride into the hands and hearts of America's youth, no matter what corner of the country families are from.
Rather than asking Americans to travel to Washington, the museum comes to them — transforming schools, civic spaces, and public venues into engaging educational environments.

Each custom-built mobile exhibit features museum-quality interactive technology, multimedia storytelling, and hands-on experiences that highlight America’s founding and defining chapters, as well as the innovation that continues to shape our nation’s future.

America's 250th anniversary is a moment to reflect on where we've been and inspire the next generation about America's glowing future. We are proud to welcome the Freedom 250 Truck to Otterbein Elementary School. By bringing this interactive exhibit directly to our community we're making our nation's history accessible, engaging, and a memorable experience — especially for the many families across Benton County, who will carry our town and the American story forward.
— Abbie Spitznagle, Principal, Otterbein Elementary School

The Freedom 250 Mobile Museum Tour will continue traveling nationwide throughout 2026 as part of the Semiquincentennial celebration so communities across the country can honor America’s past and look to our future.

Fowler Rotary Club showed up in full force for Softball Opening Day!!!! Let’s just say, we kept busy (and well-fed 😄)!

From 12–8pm on Saturday, our Rotarians and amazing volunteers were slinging hot dogs, piling up nachos, and tossing out plenty of candy to keep the crowd smiling. It was a full day of teamwork, laughter, and a whole lot of community spirit.

This is what Rotary is all about—neighbors helping neighbors, lending a hand, and creating moments that bring our community closer together. Whether it was serving up lunch, sharing a laugh at the window, or simply being present, every little act made a big impact.

The best part? Parents and families got to kick back and enjoy the games without worrying about a thing. 💛

We even had a few past Rotarians stop by to say hello… because let’s be honest, once you’re part of Rotary, you never really leave. 😉

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do; putting Service Above Self, building connections, and investing in the future of our community. It’s more than volunteering—it’s fellowship, it’s pride, and it’s heart.

And we’re just getting started… 👀 Be on the lookout for more details about our Annual Fowler Rotary Golf Outing coming up on June 19th, 2026!!! You won’t want to miss it!

A big day, a great turnout, and a perfect example of Rotary in action. We’re proud to be part of a community that shows up for each other!

At today’s Fowler Rotary Club meeting, we were honored to welcome two board members from the Benton County Fair - Indiana to speak more on how we can help.

John Cox and Brody Fox were an absolute delight and shared how the fair board is working diligently to bring the fair back to a big, community-centered event that we all know and love. 🎡

They need our help to make it happen! Whether it’s through monetary support or simply showing up and volunteering your time at the fair, every bit makes a difference.

Do you have an organization, business, or group looking to get involved in the community? Be sure to follow the Benton County Fair - Indiana page on Facebook for updates as they gear up for July 14–19, 2026 and keep an eye out for the full event schedule coming soon!

Let’s show up and support one of our community’s favorite traditions! 💙 Fowler Rotary Club will be there!

🌟 Calling Future Leaders! 🌟

The 37th Annual Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) Camp is coming up April 17–19 at Camp Tecumseh, and the Fowler Rotary Club is looking to sponsor one outstanding student from our community to attend!

RYLA is an incredible leadership experience where students connect with peers, develop communication skills, and grow as leaders. Opportunities like this not only build confidence and lifelong friendships, but they also stand out on college applications by demonstrating initiative, leadership, and community involvement.

During camp, students are placed into small “Family Groups” of about 10 participants with two Rotarian mentors. These groups work together throughout the weekend to:
• Reflect on daily activities
• Build teamwork and leadership skills
• Explore ethical decision-making
• Learn how to positively impact their communities

If you know a student who would benefit from this amazing opportunity, or if you’re interested in learning more, send us a message before 3/14 on Facebook for details!

Thank you for always supporting your local Fowler Rotary Club and helping us invest in the next generation of leaders. 💙
