Remember my birthday fundraiser over a month ago? The end of April?

PayPal giving already holds funds for at least 30-days.

I’m still waiting on payment. Should have arrived end of May. Says PayPal payment failed. I don’t know what that means so now I have to spend time tracking down a live agent to troubleshoot after trying to get answers through AI chat.

This morning I spent $2250 to purchase hay for next 2-months.

$1472.56 is hung up and quite frankly, I’m aggravated that I have to now hunt down the problem when YOU so generously gave!

I’m a one woman operation trying to manage time and energy.

Seems like so long ago!

3 of the 6 horses are still here.

This was right before Steven’s brain tumor was discovered.

I’m still at it. Ask me how many days I’ve had off now 3-years later through cancer, being sued by heartless greed while he was dying, his death and continuing the ODF mission? 7-days a week is quite a commitment wouldn’t you say?!

So much I don’t say publicly but rest assured that I have had battles that none of you would want!

Learn to do right!

The root of Christianity is denying self. It doesn’t take much effort to help others. The only effort it takes is taking our eyes off ourself.

When we volunteer our time, dollar and talent, it enriches our lives by giving us an outward focus. That outward focus grows gratitude for what we do have.

No matter our circumstances, there is always someone who needs our compassion. In their difficult time is not the time to be critical, take advantage of, make excuse for our behavior, blame and/or deny help. That is the epitome of self over God’s clear words.

Human behavior is so predictable. When the excuses start flying, that’s when we can be sure that we are in the wrong.

I am sick!

Oh Heavenly Father,

the excuses are beyond my comprehension! What if every time things got hard, I gave up?! Sold them?! When they inconvenienced me?!

They are trying so hard to teach us and we are so quick to give up on them AND the lessons they are put in our life to teach us.

Slaughter pipeline is full of horses that owners gave up on!

I am sick of the crap excuses I am told just to *try* to lighten their conscience.

When I wonder why someone stops coming around, it’s always about sin they won’t give up. Always! And I am not just talking about horse owners.

I never knew horse rescue would reveal so much about people’s character… or lack thereof!

Truly Lord! God bless the innocent! They are relying on us and how quickly we choose sin over them. Tossed and abandoned is on our conscience no matter what we tell ourselves.

My heart hurts for the innocent,

Today is the day! Or at least I hope it is

I’ve been handling Rebekah’s hooves trying to get ready for the farrier. Yesterday, I passed it off to Nolan and she did pretty good.

Her hooves are long overdue but everything I do with her takes a good bit of time. When it’s only me here 6 out of every 7 days, there is only so much I can do. So instead of beating myself up over it, focus on the fact she is ready now.
