Honoring a brave guy my friend knew who bandaged the wounded and died by terrorists from Gaza that day known as Hamas.

On this, the 3rd anniversary of the October 7th terror attacks, we remember those whose lives were given in sacrifice for their country, and those whose lives will forever be changed. Three years ago today, 1200 innocent Israeli residents living near Gaza, many of who employed and befriended their Palestinian neighbors, were slaughtered in an unprovoked attacked. But with the Lord, and their firm resolve to fight back, they are slowly rebuilding their lives. Almond Branch continues to pray and support Israel as well as the truly innocent citizens of Gaza who were caught in this horrific event.

More than 81 years ago, trains transported Jews to Auschwitz and thousands of other gettos, an prisoner and extermination camps, while many churches turned a blind eye or simply sang their worships songs louder to drown out the screams for help as the cattle calls rode by. After the war was over, people declared "Never again!", and yet, since October 7, 2023 we've watched the world explode with anti-semitism. Thankfully there were many faithful Christians who did take a stand and protect Jews during WWII, and now we also have the opportunity to stand in the gap for righteousness, stand up against anti-semitism, and stand with the Jewish people. Please join Almond Branch is support for the Apple of God's eye.

Today and in the days to come Almond Branch will be praying for all involved as the war continues to unfold in Iran. May the Lord go before both Israel and the US and grant them great wisdom, precision on where and when to strike and may the casualties be as minimal as possible. We pray for our soldiers - that God would grant them courage and give them the leadership of Moses, the determination and faithfulness of Joshua, the strength and heart of David. We pray that the nations of the earth would stand up in support of righteousness at this time and we pray for the Iranian people. May the Lord protect the innocent, embolden those standing on the side of goodness and freedom. Perhaps most of all we pray that the Gospel would go forth and that many turn to Jesus and be saved.

Monsters exist, but they are too few in number to be truly dangerous. More dangerous are the common men, the functionaries ready to believe and to act without asking questions. - Primo Levi.
