Relay For Life - Fillmore County, MN

Thank You to all the businesses and individuals that have already donated towards the Fillmore County Relay for Life fundraiser that is being held this Saturday, August 29th, in Fountain, MN.

There are currently 11 teams registered for the Relay. Team members have been busy selling luminaries, getting business sponsors, holding bake sales, serving lunches, collecting donations, etc.

There is still time to purchase luminaries in honor of, or in memory of, friends and loved ones. Businesses can still donate and be recognized on cancer fact signs. Everyone is invited to the Fountain Community Center for the meal being served from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, and program starting at 6:00 pm.

Fillmore County Relay for Life Community Meal will be held from 5-7 pm at the Fountain Community Center on Saturday, August 29th. Meal includes BBQ or Pulled Pork Sandwich, baked beans, coleslaw, potato chips, cookies, water, and coffee.

$12 per plate
$5 for ages 5-10
Free for kids 4 and under
Purchase an additional sandwich for $2

In two weeks, everyone will get a chance to come together in Fountain, MN, to support the Fillmore County Relay for Life.

Plans are being finalized for this year’s Fillmore County Relay for Life, being held in Fountain, MN, on Saturday, August 29th.

This photo was taken at the 2025 Fillmore County Relay For Life “Glowstick Ceremony” in Spring Valley. Each person is given a glowstick, and as a special reading is done, the glow sticks are broken to honor those that have heard the words “you have cancer”, or “your child has cancer”, or “your spouse has cancer”, etc. At the end, because everyone has been touched by cancer in some way, every glowstick is glowing in the darkness.

The 2026 Fillmore County Relay For Life is being held in Fountain on Saturday, August 29th.

The next planning meeting will be Monday, July 6th, at 6:00 pm, at the Chatfield United Methodist Church.

If you have wanted to be a part of the Relay, or are wanting to learn more about it, plan to attend.

This year’s Fillmore County Relay for Life will be held on Saturday, August 29th, in Fountain, MN.

Planning is underway for the event - which will include a Survivors Tea, a meal, short program, and a walking path lit by luminaries.
