Congratulations to all the winners but especially Brayden Culifer.

Just an interesting tidbit all winners got involved at young age. With three being alumni of our Junior Membership Program and the other two joining at 16 (before we had established our Junior Membership Program). Evidence that getting volunteers in the door early will help with retention.

We are please to announce that us working in conjunction with Farmville Fire Department, have been award a grant for Home Fire Sprinkler Education. We will have a display at the Dogwood Festival, April 24 - April 27. We look forward to seeing everyone out there.

Junior firefighter programs mentor our next generation of first responders and provide them the chance to learn about local fire, rescue, and emergency medical services response organizations in a safe, controlled, educational, and fun way. It also provides them with valuable life skills such as teamwork, leadership, responsibility, and commitment so they can grow into tomorrow’s fire service leaders. Your department gains non-operational support and a powerful recruitment mechanism. Junior Firefighters must be 14-17 years of age.
