To Our Valued FACSC Community,

FACSC is issuing this statement to clarify our role regarding the event held this past Sunday and to correct information currently circulating.

FACSC received a proposal involving ticket sales for a for profit organization. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, FACSC must operate in furtherance of its charitable purposes and comply with applicable nonprofit regulations.

The proposal was presented at our May 30 General Assembly; however, no representative from the proposed organization was present to formally present or carry the proposal. No vote for approval or denial was taken by the General Assembly.

FACSC did not organize, sponsor, manage, or participate in Sunday's event. Therefore, decisions made during the event were made independently and should not be attributed to FACSC.

Our mission is to create an improved living atmosphere through Unity and Friendship, and we continue to promote the welfare and well-being of our members through service, advocacy, empowerment, and community engagement.

We appreciate the continued support of our community and encourage everyone to work together in a spirit of respect, inclusivity, and collaboration as we move forward.

FACSC: Filipino-American Community of Southern Colorado FILAM Community of Southern Colorado - FACSC FACSC Youth We are beyond excited to officially crown our winner, Jessa Tecson!

We also want to extend a huge thank you to her Court—Loida Norton, Janine Miller, Ronalyn Martinez, Jo Balajadia, and Melody Evert—for their incredible dedication. Through their collective hard work and tireless fundraising efforts, they have helped us raise $21,674 towards high school scholarships and general operations for yearly cultural events.

This milestone will make a life-changing difference for our students, and we couldn't have achieved it without you. Thank you for your passion, your heart, and your unwavering commitment to our mission. We are so proud of you!

A huge thank you to our chair, Nora Elefante, and co-chairs, Gene Africa and Yolanda Viloria and especially to the entire committee for your outstanding work in getting us to the finish line.
