Sherlinn Ngọc Hoàng-117th Eagle Scout of Liên Đoàn Chi Lăng

Congratulations to Sherlinn Ngọc Hoàng for receiving the highest recognition of Scouting America on January 28, 2026, at age 16. Sherlinn has been involved in Scouting since the age of five. Over the years, Scouting has helped Sherlinn develop leadership, responsibility, and a strong commitment to serving others.

Sherlinn will be graduating from Villa Park High School on June 10, 2026. Sherlinn will attend her first year at Santiago Canyon Community College then transfer to a UC to study toward medical field.

For Sherlinn Eagle Scout Service Project, Sherlinn organized and led the creation of approximately 50 care packages for children in foster care. Sherlinn chose this project because foster youth often experience sudden transitions and may lack access to necessities and personal comfort items. Sherlinn goal was to provide essential hygiene products, blankets, and small comfort items to help meet their immediate needs while also reminding them that their community cares about them.

Sherlinn is sincerely grateful to her parents (Tr. Christine Đoàn and Jonathan Hoàng) and her brother Keandre Hoàng, also an Eagle Scout and Crew Advisor, for their constant supports and to Tr. Cường and Tr. Khanh for their guidance throughout this project.

Parents Night 19th-2026

Sau 19 năm liên tục sinh hoạt đặc thù của phụ huynh Liên Đoàn Chi Lăng. Parents Night thứ 19 đã có dịp trở về địa điểm của parents Night đầu tiên-Emerald Bay tên xưa. Parents Night đầu tiên 2007 và thứ 19 đều vinh danh mẹ vì vào tuần Mother’s Day.

Nhân đây chúng ta cũng không quên cảm tạ những người Hướng Đạo Vô Danh đã âm thầm bỏ công sức mang niềm vui và tình thân đến mọi người đó là chị Anna Nguyễn năm 2026 và anh Tuấn Nguyễn và Cung Trần năm 2007.

Collin Hữu Phan – 116th Eagle Scout

Congratulations to Collin on earning the highest honor in the Scouts of America on November 17, 2025.

Collin is currently a student at Pacifica High School and will attend USC this fall, where he plans to major in Business Administration. He has been involved in scouting since the 3rd grade and joined Chi Lang in the 8th grade. During his time in the program, he servChi Lănged as Crew Quartermaster and now continues to contribute by assisting with Ấu programs.

For his Eagle Scout Project, Collin designed and built a new podium for his former school, Patton Elementary, at the request of the principal to replace the outdated one. The new podium provides a professional and functional space for teachers and students to use during assemblies, performances, and meetings.

Congratulations to Collin on this outstanding achievement. Special thanks to Tr. Khanh, Tr. Cường, and Chị Megan for their guidance and support throughout the process. Additional thanks to Chú Tín and Cô Kiều, Collin’s parents, for their unwavering support during his Eagle Scout journey.

Kayla Khanh Đỗ-113th Eagle Court of Honor January 31, 2026!

Congratulations to Kayla Khanh Đỗ for receiving the highest honor of the Boy Scouts of America on September 10, 2025. Kayla is currently attending Irvine Valley College, having previously attended Troy High School. She is a Communications major and intends on transferring to USC in the near future. Kayla served as the Vice President of Programs and President of Chi Lăng Crew 279.

Kayla's objective for her project was to deliver food packages for
senior citizens who are unable to leave their homes. With the help of the AA food-to-go Restaurant and the Asian American Senior Citizen Association, Kayla and her volunteers were able to portion and deliver 25 meals. Each food package included a variety of vegetables, meat, and rice, and was catered towards the recipient's request.

Congratulations to Kayla and her scouting family, Tr. Cường Tuần Đỗ, Cô Mai Anh Nguyễn and Eagle Scout Brandon Phong Đỗ, for the wonderful accomplishments. A special thanks to Abby Nguyễn and Tr. Khanh for supporting Kayla Eagle journey.

Charlena Uyển Thy Trần-112th Eagle Scout Court of Honor January 31, 2026!

Congratulations to Charlena for receiving the highest honor of the Boy Scouts of America on August 27, 2025. Charlena is currently attending San Diego State University, having previously attended Oxford Academy. She is a Political Science major and intends to study law in the future. In crew, Charlena served as the Vice President of Programs, Communications and President. Academically, Charlena also served as Sophomore Class Vice President, Junior Class President, ASB Treasurer and Swim and Dive Captain.

Charlena’s objective for her project was to build safe seating areas for children at Sunnyside Elementary. As a former student at Sunnyside, she noticed the potential danger of students waiting for parental pickup with the presence of moving vehicles. By providing a safe area for students to sit, socialize, and do work, it significantly lowered the risk of pedestrian injury and helped teachers easily supervise after-school pickup. With the help of scout and student volunteers, she was able to paint and build not just one but two seating areas for the community.

Congratulations to Charlena and family Tr. Trần Minh Tuấn Tom, Cô Nguyễn Vũ Anh Thư Ann, Scout Trần Vĩnh Sun Charlton, Scout Trần Vĩnh Long Charold, and Scout Trần Vĩnh Sang Charwin. A special thanks to all the volunteers that helped to make the project a success.
