Loco Bonita Ranch is currently the home of 17 horses, a pot-bellied pig and 3 donkeys all located on 11 acres in beautiful Hot Springs, Arkansas. Our hope is that when you arrive that you feel the peace of the Lord and the stesses of everyday life are lifted for a little while. Some of them have been rescued from starvation, some have been purchased from individuals, some have been purchased from

horse auctions (a rescue of sorts) and some have been donated to the ranch. Whatever their background, they know that they have found a home and are very glad to greet people and offer a little bit of "therapy" of a different kind. They are uniquely gifted to love unconditionally and bring out a new person, in a very special way. Whether you have never ridden a horse or it has been a while, there is nothing like a hug from a four-legged, fur-covered messenger of God. He uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise!!!

What a way to show how much they care!?!? The "Trust" Sunday School class from Balboa Baptist Church showed up and showed out on Saturday. They cleaned up, made repairs, rehung the horse swing, tore down the old play/swing set, stacked rubbish, blew leaves and many, many other things! Our hearts are overwhelmed by their love and generosity! Thank you all so very much!

Hi Everybody! Been a little quiet on social media lately but life continues EVERY SINGLE DAY at the Ranch!
Thank you to all of you who continue to love, pray for and support the Ranch and the endeavors of these beautiful, many rescued, healers with hooves. They minister every day!! In turn, their care and welfare are our top priorities. We love them!!
Please remember it's not about posting and boasting but remaining consistent to the purpose God lays out before you! Remember the story of the man who stood on the corner praying loud, repetitive prayers for people to hear, hoping God would answer. However, it's those whispered prayers that nobody but God hears that get His attention! He hears and answers!
We are still here believing for grace to run the current race, wisdom to handle well what God provides, courage to dream for bigger things and the faith to believe, WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE! ❤️

Hi All! Meet Apollo! He is a beautiful, solid black, gaited 17 year old gelding. As you can see he was rescued from a kill pen. Some, unknown, generous donors made this possible! We picked him up on Wednesday night. We are not sure of his history but, we do know, two different tag numbers removed from his rump when he was in the trailer were indicative of at least two auctions and then a month stay in the Kill Pen.
Loco Bonita Ranch has high hopes for him. He rides well and is very kind once caught. We believe he will be an asset to the Ranch for many, many years!
Please consider sponsoring his continued care. The price of a horse is always the least expensive part.
The monthly cost for an average horse is $350 per month. This is just for the horse and doesn't include housing, equipment or, if necessary, emergency vet expenses.
Loco Bonita Ranch has 20 horses and provides services to the community free of charge.
