Saturday, May 10th, was National ‘Go a Day Without Shoes’ Day! While this is fun and maybe some of you even participated, what a gift that this is a choice for most of us 🧡 for several of our friends in Uganda, no shoes is a daily reality. Two things to share today!

1️⃣ All students and staff at Wings of Grace as well as members in our community celebrated Prosper’s life yesterday afternoon. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to fundraise $510 to donate towards her service and celebration. We will continue to remember her gentleness and grace and carry it with us each day. 🧡

2️⃣ Throughout the year, we want to continue sharing about our local team members who work so hard at Wings of Grace! It’s also Teacher Appreciation Week so what a great time to re-start this series. If you scroll down you will see posts about our Director Sam and our Head Teacher Mark. Now we are introducing our Head Administrator: Mr. Dick 🎉

Mr. Dick is kind, supportive, and encouraging to all of our students at Wings of Grace. He is a steady spirit and helps keep things calm and moving forward at Wings. He is passionate about serving Jesus and that shows through his actions and how he treats every person around him. Our school wouldn’t be the same without him! Thank you for all you do, Mr. Dick!

Today is the last day of Term 1 in 2025 for Wings of Grace. On a day that is typically filled with celebration, we are also mourning. It is with very heavy hearts we share that one of our nursery students, Prosper, passed away yesterday, May 1. Prosper was four years old in and our ‘Middle Class’ at Wings of Grace. She had one of the most gentle and sweet spirits we have ever known.

We are so proud of our students and staff for finishing this term strong and also grieving alongside them. Here are a few precious photos of Prosper with her friends. There is more information and more photos at the link below.

Thank you for grieving and praying and celebrating with us 🧡 we are grateful to not do this alone!
