THANK YOU, FOUNTAIN HILLS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION!

Members of Four Peaks Rotary attended the Fountain Hills Community Foundation Gifting Ceremony on October 23 to accept a $1,000 grant.

The funds will be used for the McDowell Mountain Elementary School (MMES) Garden Refresh Project, a community-driven initiative led by the Four Peaks Rotary in partnership with educators, parents, and local organizations. The project will rejuvenate and expand the school's existing, underutilized garden space, transforming it into an engaging outdoor environmental education center which will serve as a living classroom where students can explore science, sustainability, nutrition, and community service.

It was a family affair at the Four Peaks Rotary meeting on October 23rd when club members welcomed Kyle Tolis to membership.

Kyle is the son of Rotarian Art Tolis, a Four Peaks Rotary Past President, who conducted the induction.

Kyle is the general manager and lead personal trainer for Snap Fitness and is very involved in the Fountain Hills community, including the Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce Health Services Stakeholders and the Fountain Hills Blue Zones Inspired Project. He is well acquainted with Rotary, having volunteered alongside his father on many community service projects growing up.

A graduate of Grand Canyon University, Kyle previously worked at Top Golf and with the Arizona Diamondbacks. He says his mission is "provide resources to the Fountain Hills community to promote a healthier lifestyle and positive mindset."

Welcome, Kyle!

🌟 Make a Difference Day 2025 🌟

Making a difference comes in many ways—through service, leadership, education, and the connections we build with one another. Together, we strengthen our clubs, support our neighbors, and advance the Rotary mission of Service Above Self. 💙

Today, Past-Presidents Todd Harris, Scott Sommer and Julie Ewald joined fellow D5495 Rotarians and Rotaractors from across Arizona for Facilitator Lab 2025, a 1/2 day of learning, sharing, and collaboration to enhance how we serve our communities. Thank you, D5495, for a fantastic session!

While they didn’t participate in our local community projects this year, our Rotarians gained tools, ideas, and inspiration to continue making a meaningful difference in our Fountain Hills community and beyond.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY with Four Peaks Rotary includes time spent at the Fountain Hills Theater for the annual "cleaning of the sheds."

Under the watchful eye of Peter J. Hill, the theater's creative director, Rotarians cleared out sheds full of furniture and props, carried unwanted/damaged items to the dumpster, then swept out the empty sheds before replacing reusable items.

Rotarians worked alongside theater staff and other community volunteers at the theater; several volunteered at the Fountain Hills Unified School District as well.

Four Peaks Rotary Club – Fountain Hills, AZ 🌟

We’re neighbors, friends, business owners and local citizens who love our community and believe in giving back. 💙

Through Rotary’s Five Avenues of Service and Seven Areas of Focus, we partner with others to strengthen Fountain Hills and support projects around the world — from clean water and education to peace and environmental care.

Being a Rotarian isn’t just about meetings or events… it’s a lifestyle built on Service Above Self. Together, we create environments where everyone can thrive — right here at home.

Together, we serve in five key avenues of service — Club, Vocational, Community, International, and Youth — creating opportunities for every member to make a difference.

Rotary’s 7 Areas of Focus — the key pillars that guide all Rotary clubs and projects around the world 🌍:

🤝 Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention – Promoting understanding and dialogue to foster peace in communities and across borders.

🩺 Disease Prevention and Treatment – Improving health care access, fighting diseases like polio, and supporting medical training and supplies.

🚰 Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene – Ensuring communities have access to clean water and proper sanitation for healthier living.

🎓 Basic Education and Literacy – Supporting education for all ages and helping communities overcome barriers to learning.

💼 Community Economic Development – Creating opportunities for individuals and communities to become self-sufficient and thrive economically.

👶 Maternal and Child Health – Reducing mortality rates and improving health services for mothers and children.

🌿 Supporting the Environment – Protecting natural resources and promoting sustainability for future generations.

October 9th Meeting Highlights!

What a FABULOUS morning meeting filled with inspiration, laughter, and fellowship — the Four Peaks Rotary way!

🤝 Our members shared incredible updates on club socials and community projects, proving once again that Rotarians know how to combine Service Above Self with #5 — Fun!

🎖️ We also celebrated the induction of a new member into our Rotary family — always a highlight as we grow our circle of exceptional community leaders!

🌐 We’re proud to announce that our club raised $250 for Polio Eradication, which becomes $750 thanks to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s 2:1 match! Together, we’re one step closer to ending polio worldwide.

👔 Special thanks to President Nick, AV guru Daniel, and our ever-efficient Sergeant-at-Arms, Paul P. for keeping us organized, energized and fined accordingly.

🌀Four Peaks Rotary meetings are engaging and dynamic — where laughter, purpose and fellowship come together under the 4-Way Test… and #5: FUN!

Rotary 4-Way Test in all we think, say or do:
First, Is it the truth?
Second, Is it fair to all concerned?
Third, Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
Fourth, Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
