Thirteen years ago when Christine Schaeken and Susan Dawson were training for the Susan G. Komen Three Day Breast Cancer Walk, they developed a partnership with Pal’s Inn Pet Resort and began taking a few rescued canine friends with them on their hikes. It didn’t take us long to expand our efforts and subsequently establish Rescue Pals – A 501 (c) (3) non-profit, dog rescue and rehabilitation orga

nization. We were surprised to find such need for a dog rescue here in Fountain Hill, but the community has stepped up and supported our efforts at every turn, engaging and getting involved from the very beginning. For more info [email protected]

Rescue Pals will be at the Paws for Community event, organized by Pure Pawsitivity, this coming Saturday, August 29th from 5-8PM.
Due to the high temperatures we will not be bringing our adoptable dogs, well, Red is insisting on coming, but we will have information and pictures on them.

With monsoon season starting, the Sonoran Desert Toads could come out of hiding. If your dog gets a hold of one of them, please wash out their mouth immediately with water for about 10 minutes- hose works best - and then rush to a vet
