CLASS OF1976 — WE NEED YOUR PHOTOS! 🎉
We are putting together a very special slideshow of reunion memories to display at our 50th Reunion and we can't do it without YOU! Dig out those old albums, shoeboxes, and envelopes stuffed in the back of a drawer. Every photo tells a story and we want them all! Here is exactly how to share yours . We promise it is easier than it looks!
Preparation: YOU WILL NEED YOUR SMARTPHONE TO DO THIS.
STEP 1 — Find a photo(S)
Grab any printed photo from a past reunion — 5th, 10th, 20th, any of them! The older and more wrinkled the better. That just means it has character!
STEP 2 — Grab your smartphone
For this step you will need a smartphone — that is the phone you carry with you every day that also takes pictures and connects to the internet, like an iPhone or an Android. If your phone takes pictures and you are reading this post on it right now, you are already holding exactly what you need!
STEP 3 — Take a picture of your photo with your phone
Open your phone's camera app — the same one you use to take any photo — and snap a picture of your printed photo. Lay it flat on a table in good light and hold your phone directly above it for the best result. Don't worry if it isn't perfect. We will take care of the rest!
Note: If necessary, the photo(s) you share will be digitally enhanced. Brightened, sharpened, and polished. We will do our best to make even your oldest faded photos look their best on the big screen.
STEP 4 — Come back to THIS post on Facebook
Scroll back to this exact post. You are looking for the word "Comment" just below it — it usually sits next to a thumbs up and a share button.
STEP 5 — Tap or click the comment box
Tap the box that says "Write a comment…" and it will open up for you. You are almost there!
STEP 6 — Add your photo to the comment
Look for a small camera or photo icon inside the comment box — it is usually a tiny little picture that looks like a landscape or a camera. Tap it. Your phone's photo gallery will open. Find the photo you just took in Step 3 and tap it to select it. It will attach right to your comment!
STEP 7 — Type in a comment if you'd like:
Which reunion it was it? To post your comment, Hit the arrow to the right of your comment or in some cases, press Post!
You just contributed to the slideshow! 🎉
A FEW THINGS TO KNOW:
✅ Please share up to 8 photos per person — spread the love so everyone gets a moment in the spotlight
✅ Your photos will be moved to the slideshow quickly and will not stay visible in the comments for long
✅ Deadline is August 31st — we need time to work our magic before the big night!
✅ The more photos we get, the better this slideshow will be — so please share and tag anyone from our class who might have photos hiding at home!
