About Benjamin Karmon Sehkar

Born and reaised in Nyor Butuo, Nimba County, the North-Central portion of Liberia, Benjamin Karmon Sehkar served as a reporter at the ELWA radio station from 1983 to 1990. He dreamed of helping the underprivileged children in his home town and region with access to affordable and quality education. After his untimely death, his dream was temporarily delayed. Alvin Se

hkar, a son of Benjamin Sehkar, then decided to further his father's legacy by founding the BKS Foundation, Inc. BKS Foundation, Inc. is currently in the process of obtaining its 501c(3) tax exempt status. BKS Foundation Inc. provides yearly scholarships to disadvantaged and underprivileged students in Liberia.
