That’s a wrap on Creek Days Environmental Education Fair 2026! This year’s Creek Days was held at Williams Grove in Humboldt Redwoods State Park. We had over 300 students attend over the course of three days to explore topics from salmon to redwoods and everything in between! 🐟🌲

Now is more important than ever to get kids connected to the natural world around them and inspire the care that is needed to protect it. We are so grateful to provide this hands on learning experience and could not have done it without our sponsors, staff, volunteers, and most importantly the schools who made time to come out and learn with us! 🤗💚

🐟 Don't miss this Wednesday's lecture!

Rachael Aguirre, Fish Habitat Assistant at the California Conservation Corps Fortuna Center and Friends of the Arcata Marsh Board member, will explore the history and current work of the CCC's Salmon Restoration Program (which we serve as a primary project partner on).

Expect an exciting look at local creek restoration, how the CCC plans and executes its projects, and how they're building the next generation of natural resource stewards. See you there!

🐟 Meet our Watershed Stewards Program (WSP) Corpsmembers! (Part 2 of 2)

Sol grew up in Burbank, CA and attended Cal Poly Humboldt where she graduated with an Environmental Science & Management degree and Geospatial Analysis minor. She joined WSP so she could get hands-on experience with watershed restoration practices and explore the field of fisheries biology. Her favorite part about serving with ERWIG is the unique opportunity to see a restoration project at every stage of development. She’s enjoyed walking through creeks doing large wood inventories and assisting in the design of LWD structures. This summer, she looks forward to working alongside CCC crews to bring those designs to life.

Fun fact: She was an extra in the movie One Battle After Another!
