Some of my favorite times are watching a sunrise from a blind and seeing the first group of green wing teal buzz by 2 minutes before I could do anything. Every great hunt I have been on started with a Wednesday night meeting at a pizza parlor to plan a banquet. I have been a volunteer with 10 minutes a week to give and 10 hours a week to give. I get the chance every day to leave a legacy of wetlands and waterfowl for future generations. To date DU has restored and conserved over 16 million acres and counting. If you are in Northern California and interested in being a part of our local chapters or starting one in your local community, please shoot me a call. I would love to make some time to meet you.

Humboldt DU committee member & wildlife lecturer Rob Blenk and his students were on hand for the junior duck hunting weekend at Humboldt Bay Wildlife Refuge to collect important research data that will benefit all North Coast duck hunters in the future. 🦆

This was the first hunting experience for some of these junior hunters and everyone was happy to share some words of wisdom while their birds were getting weighed and measured.

Today was a great example of hunters and conservationists working hand in hand to contribute to the health and prosperity of our local duck population and wetland habitat. 🤝🏼
