✊ TEXAS UNION WIN: Workers at Ashland Specialty Chemicals ratified a new contract with wage increases, limited incidental craft work, and increased vacation days!

While they didn't win every fight at that table — members won something no contract can put a price on: trust, unity, and a brotherhood forged on that picket line.

ATTENTION LOCKHEED MARTIN:

The Company has agreed that the language negotiated in Article 3, Section 5A does permit the Ratification Bonus being split up into any of the three options(Health Savings Account/HSA, Performance Sharing Plan/PSP, or Cash) in $500 increments.

Example: Employee A could put $2000 into the HSA, $2000 into the PSP, and $2000 cash less applicable taxes.

70 skilled workers represented by the Texas City Metal Trades Council, AFL-CIO — IUOE Local 564, IBEW Local 527, UA Local 211, and IAM District Lodge 776 — voted to reject the company's contract and authorize this strike because the company is:
❌ Forcing employees to perform work outside their craft
❌ Proposing slashing paid sick time
❌ Outsourcing storeroom jobs to outside contractors
