Ms. Ja’Myiah Henderson and Ms. Cierra Berry are recipients. Three scholarships are awarded each year at the SHIP: 1.) The Fellowship MBC, 2.) The Ida Lockman and 3.) the H B Montgomery.

Pastor, Dr. Monty Francis, Sr. preaches ""Turning Around For Me!" from Exodus 4:31; 5:22-23; 6:1. God divine providence was upon a chosen people to love and to care for them. They were in a place and predicament where the Lord would see them through! Moreover, God purposed to deliver them after seeing them through some difficult times. We see a God of GREAT intention and a people with a MINUTE belief system in the text. We view a WINNING HAND of God working with a PATIENT FAITH in His people through this episode. These were times when trouble makes you doubt and when burdens seem impossible to bare. Yet, these are also the times when people of faith must trust that God Will See Them Through! For sometimes if may appear that faith itself is not to be working, or perhaps it gets worse and not better, and even leaves one contemplating over reasons why you've been forsaken. The Pastor concludes that God, even while delivering us, intends to develop and mature us through trials of our faith which would become a faith that would transcend future troubles. God loves to grow a people who persevere while disregarding challenges that threaten their commitments to live justly and righteous and in truth as a people ought

Dr. Monty Francis preaches “Make the Devil Shout!” While walking in victory, growing and progressing in spiritual success, very often the child of God will have to confront the enemy - the Devil. Jesus had just defeated Satan in the wilderness, been baptized and preached in His hometown - Nazareth and declared how the spirit of the Lord was upon Him to fulfill His mission. Realizing that He was not to be honored in His own hometown He escapes the rejection as He walked away through the midst of them. So, now in Capernaum He is confronted by the devil who had possessed a man in the synagogue. When striving to live life progressively in the spirit, the believer has to very often “Make the Devil Shout”! This is not a shout of Glee, but one the declares “Ouch” is disdain. Letting the enemy know that you mean business and that you are walking in the power of the Spirit of God, is an expectation of God concerning His children! The Pastor addresses “Walking in Victory”, Walking with the Right Purpose for your life" and Walking beyond the Threats Against the Scope of Your Witness.
