Last night was WILD. First, that gorgeous bus pulled up representing SOUTH SIDE. Then the weather came out of nowhere and that heavy rain and wind almost took us ALL the way out. But if you know Southside, you already know... we're Southside strong. We shook it off, kept going, and still had a damn good time. And not long after, the rain cleared and this rainbow came out over the yard. Not to be corny.. but WOW With everything happening around here lately, seeing that bus pull up, seeing everybody come out, and then looking up and seeing that just felt like one of those moments you stop and take in. We're making some really cool things happen right here on Hemphill St. And we're not going anywhere. Big thank you to Councilwoman Jeanette Martinez for coming out, spending time with us, and helping people get registered to vote. Thank you to Trinity Metro for bringing the bus out and to everyone who helped make last night happen. BIG thank you to our vendors who thugged out those crazy winds and rain! Big thank you specially to everybody who came out, those who huddled in the building waiting out the rain and still stayed and supported the vendors, hung out, and made it such a fun night. Southside strong. Southside resilient. And we're here to stay. And yeah... that rainbow was a pretty damn cool way to end the night.

We are incredibly grateful to Councilwoman Martinez for bringing Trinity Metro’s new La Línea Rosa straight to the Southside for a special preview!

Because of her leadership, our community gets a first look at this beautiful new line, complete with stunning, Latino-inspired artwork!
It will be parked right here at The Fork Yard on Friday, September 11 from 5-7 PM!

We are beyond excited for what this means for the Hemphill Corridor and our neighborhood.

Mark your calendars, bring the family, and come celebrate this amazing milestone with us before the bus hits the road! 🚍❤️
