Fort Worth’s history lives in its people, stories, and everyday places.

Community Design Fort Worth is launching a new cultural asset mapping project — supported by a generous grant from the Sid W. Richardson Foundation — to document the voices and experiences that shape our city’s identity.

Through walking interviews, residents will lead the way, sharing the traditions, landmarks, and relationships that make their neighborhood unique. This community‑driven approach ensures future planning honors the people who built it.

Transit Planning 101, led by Phil Dupler, Director of Planning at Trinity Metro introduced the fundamentals of transit planning to participants through an interactive, hands-on activity to design a transit network.
Participants explored the key factors, tradeoffs, and real-world constraints that shape planning decisions.
By the end of the session, attendees gained a clearer understanding of how transit systems are planned and how thoughtful network design supports accessible, efficient mobility for all users.

Walking this path always feels like a small promise kept.
