Zero Waste is a philosophy that encourages the redesign of resource life cycles so that all products are reused. No trash is sent to landfills and incinerators. While this would be our ultimate goal, zero waste would be difficult to reach in a city with a population of almost 800,000. So, our goal is to help with City of FW design a new waste management plan with a landfill diversion goal of at le

ast 60% in 20 years. Landfill diversion can be accomplished through reduction of waste, reusing of waste, and recycling of waste. All facet of the community must be involved in reduction, reuse and recycling; residential, commercial.
