We're excited to welcome Lindsay Malhotra to the TxSDY Board of Directors!

Lindsay Malhotra is a professor at the School of Social Work at the University of Texas at Arlington. She holds a Master of Social Work degree from UTA and is licensed as both a Clinical Social Worker and a Chemical Dependency Counselor. Lindsay has spent her career working in nonprofits and a substance use treatment facility, where she has overseen programs such as Intensive Outpatient Programs, Recovery Support Services, and family-focused initiatives. She also serves as a peer specialist supervisor, championing the development of peer specialists and recovery coaches. We are happy to welcome Lindsay to our team!

Alcohol is the #1 known contributing factor in fatal boating incidents in the U.S.

In Texas, 89% of alcohol-related boating incidents last year resulted in serious injury or death – ranking the state 2nd in the nation for these tragedies.
