Tara Wilson says the MAGA train is parked at City Hall, but all we see is a mayor with a very unwanted front yard accessory. PSA: If you leave a casket at someone’s house, don’t be surprised when they try to give it back! 😂

Media Literacy & Critical Thinking in Action

This week's events - from the Jimmy Kimmel suspension to ongoing political investigations - provide a perfect case study for why media literacy education is more critical than ever.

Students and citizens need to be able to:
• Identify bias in news sources
• Understand corporate influence on media
• Distinguish between opinion and reporting
• Recognize how political pressure affects information flow

The Kimmel situation shows how quickly information landscapes can change. One day a show is on air, the next it's suspended due to political and corporate pressure.

Local education news worth noting:
• Two Tarrant County schools are fighting for transparency in their legal battle with AG Paxton
• Fort Worth ISD continues addressing special education concerns
• Budget approvals will impact school funding and resources

Our students deserve education that prepares them to navigate complex media environments and think critically about the information they consume.
