Sounds like summertime!

The Fort Worth Drowning Prevention Coalition officially kicked off the 2026 Swim Safe Program this week at McDonald YMCA!
We love hearing the splashes, laughter, and excitement as participants begin learning life-saving water safety skills.
There’s still time to join us! Space remains available at Marine Park Pool and Forest Park Pool, but spots are filling quickly.

IT’S SUMMERTIME!

Today marks the start of our 2026 Swim Safe Summer Program! Over the next several weeks, hundreds of children, families, volunteers, instructors, and community partners will come together to learn life-saving water safety skills and help make our community safer around water.

As we kick off another exciting summer, we’re taking a look back at some of the smiles, accomplishments, and memories from last year’s program. We can’t wait to create even more this year!

The Fort Worth Drowning Prevention Coalition provides both out-of-water drowning prevention education and in-water swimming and water-safety skills. Our programs are designed to engage the whole family in water safety education and provide multiple layers of protection so you are equipped and empowered to enjoy the water safely.

Learn practical in-water skills to keep your family safe in and around water. All programs offer classes beginning at 6:45pm & 7:35pm at McDonald YMCA and Ryan YMCA and at Marine Park Pool and Forest Park Pool!
