On behalf of The Shaken Baby Alliance, we would like to sincerely thank all of our Advisory Meeting members for attending our Quarterly Advisory Meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 29th at One Safe Place.

We are happy to share that The Shaken Baby Alliance participated in the Twentieth International Conference on Shaken Baby Syndrome/Abusive Head Trauma in Nashville, Tennessee.

We are grateful for the opportunity to learn, connect with professionals in the field, and bring back new ideas to strengthen our prevention and education efforts.

We are on Day 3 of the National Center on Shaken Baby Syndrome International SBS/AHT Conference. Day 2 was full of sessions, conversations, collaboration and families. Thanks to The Matty Eappen Foundation who hosted a family dinner, family members were able to connect, share their stories. We cried, hugged, some sang. Beautiful and tragic at the same time. A journey none of us ever chose or wanted to be on. But here we are. Supporting each other.

Our Victim Family Support Leaders are at the 20th International Shaken Baby Syndrome/Abusive Head Trauma Conference in Nashville, Tennessee. The first day was full of engaging with professionals and family members in the SBS/AHT Community. Also in attendance is Tara's son, Kyle who is a survivor. The welcome reception included some Nashville attire. We look forward to day 2! If you are attending the conference, find us at our table or find one of these friendly faces. When a child is abused, family members are thrust into a situation that is devastating on many levels including emotional, financial, and physical.
