We want to take a minute to introduce Lexie, who has joined AdoptED as our Social Work Education Specialist.

As AdoptED has grown, we identified a need for an educator who understands adoption from the social work side, someone who has actually sat across the table from families and done the work. Lexie brings exactly that. She spent five years as a caseworker focused on older child adoptions, so she knows firsthand what that process looks like and what social work professionals and the general community actually need to understand about it.

In this role, Lexie will lead the delivery and growth of our AdoptED curriculum for social work professionals and the general community, build relationships with universities and community partners, and help us keep sharpening the content so it stays relevant and useful.

Meet Isabel, the Life Skills and Independent Living Coordinator in the Gladney Home.

She teaches the girls in our home the things a lot of us take for granted, laundry, cooking, budgeting, even navigating the bus system. All so they leave ready for what's next.
