Just a reminder that our Monthly General Membership Meeting is TONIGHT! We’ll recap the ongoing projects we’re working on and share important updates happening in our community.

A Big Shout-Out to My Longtime Friend and Educator, Barbara Hollandsworth!
I want to take a moment to celebrate my longtime friend and dedicated educator, Barbara Hollandsworth, for taking the time and putting in the hard work to organize such a wonderful Back-to-School Giveaway at Van Zandt-Guinn Elementary.

As Chairperson of the Historic Southside Education Committee, it truly warms my heart to see so many community partners, parents, students, and volunteers come together to support our children. The amazing activities, resources, and opportunities provided for both students and parents made this event something special.
I also want to give a heartfelt thank-you to Principal Ms. White of Van Zandt-Guinn Elementary for opening the doors of the school and welcoming our community. That kind of partnership is so important in building stronger relationships between our schools and the communities they serve.
And let's celebrate all of the wonderful vendors and organizations that showed up to make a difference—including the Fort Worth Police Department, Shamblee Library, Parent Shield, and so many others.

This is what community looks like—coming together, supporting our children, and making sure they know that we believe in them and their future.

One of the greatest honors of serving as President of our Neighborhood Association is meeting new people who are committed to making a difference in our community. Building meaningful relationships is how we create a stronger, healthier, and more thriving neighborhood.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. James, who will soon be opening a medical clinic right here in the 76104 community. His commitment to serving others means healthcare needs will be met, lives will be improved, and hope will continue to grow.

We want to take a moment to recognize and thank Ms. Thomas for the incredible work she has been doing in our community for more than 10 years. As the former assistant principal at Van Zandt-Guinn Elementary, her commitment to children did not end when she left the school.
Ms. Thomas continues to invest her time and energy in students from Van Zandt-Guinn, Morningside, and Carroll Peak Elementary Schools. I had the opportunity to visit the Bethlehem Community Center on Friday, and I was truly amazed by the educational activities and opportunities being provided for so many of our students.
Thank you, Ms. Thomas, for your unwavering dedication, your servant's heart, and for continuing to make a lasting difference in the lives of our children. Your work is creating opportunities, building confidence, and strengthening our community one student at a time.
