Everyone deserves a loving home

We formed Flip for Pets out of the desire to have a voice in helping people better understand the value of companion animals in hopes of making a difference in the number of animals who are given up by their families every day. We strongly believe that pets are family and we want to encourage others to include their animals as members of the family who deserve equal treatment. More and more research is proving what animal lovers have always believed: that animals have feelings, emotions and needs much like people.

For all the animals that do end up being discarded, living on the streets or in shelters, we want to encourage animal lovers to consider fostering pets in need. Fostering a pet is a rewarding experience for all involved! The pet gets to know the love of a family instead of the fear and stress of a shelter environment. And the family gets to experience the joy of meeting a new pet and finding a perfect family to call their own. We want to share fostering stories, encourage others to share as well, and get people interested in becoming a foster parent.

Flip for Pets was named after our dog, Flip. He's a goofy kid found running free in our neighborhood, adopted out and returned twice and now a permanent member of our family. Flip represents all the pets we are advocating for.
