The Duke and Oliver Foundation was founded to help dog rescue groups and individuals that dedicate themselves to rescue efforts. Duke was co-founder Christy Howard's rescued English Mastiff and soul mate that was with her until his death on St. Oliver was co-founder Shelley Levitz' Yellow Lab that was her best friend until he lost his life in a house fire in 2011. They will never be forgotten and will live on through improving the lives of others.

We are excited to announce our partnership with Rahr To The Rescue to provide Pawprint Oxygen kits to every station in Dallas. We started with the delivery of 25 kits to Dallas Fire Rescue this morning! We can’t wait to get a kit on every EMS vehicle in the city of Dallas!

19 years ago today, as I said goodbye to Duke, I made him a promise — that I would continue to do good in his name. Every St. Patrick’s Day, I find myself reflecting on that promise and hoping that through the Duke and Oliver Foundation, we’re making him proud.

Today, he sent us a sign that we are.

This morning, I woke up to a nonfiction of the largest single donation we’ve ever received. Being chosen as the very first recipient from the newly formed Norton Cuban Family Foundation is an incredible honor. But to receive that notification today brought on all the tears (literally) .

We are so deeply grateful and look forward to continuing to make a small difference in animal welfare across DFW.

Friday, part of our board had the honor of delivering Paw Print Oxygen Kits to the Consolidated K9 / Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Facility at DFW Airport. We were given a tour of their facilities and even got to meet 3 of the 19 incredible working dogs they have on site!

While we truly hope these kits are never needed, we’re grateful they’re there to help protect the heroes who protect all of us. 🐾
