We are proud to announce a scholarship for Michael Parrot, a young man raised in a law enforcement family who is heading toward a degree in education so he can teach history and coach.

He wrote that growing up as a police officer’s son wasn’t always easy. People knew who his dad was. He felt the pressure to stay out of trouble. Later, at a military academy far from home, nobody knew his name — and he still made the right choices.

“I realized I wasn’t making good choices because I was afraid of getting caught. I was making them because that’s the kind of person I wanted to be.”

That’s the kind of character these scholarships are meant to back. Congratulations. We’re proud to help you get to the classroom and the field.
