The Ancestors Would've Been Proud Yesterday ✊🏾🖤❤️💚
Juneteenth was nothing short of amazing.
The rain came and went, but the celebration never stopped. We started the day with , where we received a powerful tour highlighting Black excellence throughout history. From the first Black doctors and hospitals to pioneering photographers, cultural trailblazers, and a music corner filled with greatness, every room reminded us of just how rich our history truly is.
Afterwards, we supported local vendors, did a little shopping, enjoyed face painting, and connected with community before heading over to for the kickback.
And cousinssss... the food did not disappoint. From loaded crab potatoes to pork chops and catfish baskets, cousins were everywhere, laughter filled the room, and the vibes were unmatched.
A huge thank you to Dickies for providing shuttle service through the rain, and to every sponsor, volunteer, organizer, vendor, and attendee who helped make this Juneteenth celebration so special.
Yesterday wasn't just a party, it was a reminder of resilience, culture, community, and joy.
Again, The ancestors would've been proud. ✨🖤
