Happy Veterans Day to y’all. Well, we had a great event on Saturday in the Fort Worth Stockyards at Pearls Saloon!
We thank all of you that participated.

However, we had a little windstorm come in and kind of blew the sales right out of our silent auction activity!

So good news for everyone! We would like to extend the silent auction to all of those who wish to participate and support our mission.

Another heartwarming testimonial sent to our BK President, Paul DeLand, from another participant at our October Granite Ranch retreat, Tim Sewell! Tim is pictured below with his family!

“Hi Paul, I wanted to send a note to thank you and everyone at Brothers Keeper for the wonderful time last weekend at Granite Ranch. When Jack invited me, I was a little apprehensive. The truth is that I haven’t gotten out much since my injury. I was nervous that I wouldn’t be accepted since my injury was not service related, and occurred long after my discharge. Nothing could have been further from the truth. I was immediately welcomed by everyone there, as was my family. It meant a lot to hear other veterans there tell me that I was a part of the brotherhood. It also warmed my heart to see my family having such a great time. We all were smiling and laughing the entire weekend. Since my injury, we haven’t had many days like that.
We met so many great people last weekend, many we now consider friends. Thank you again for the wonderful weekend. Sincerely,

This past weekend, my family and I got to do something we never thought would be possible again since Dad’s accident 4 years ago — we went on a family vacation in one of his favorite places ( 30 miles from his old deer lease 😉).

This incredible experience was made possible by , an amazing organization that supports wounded veterans, first responders, and Gold Star families.

The work they do is truly remarkable. I could (have have) cry thinking about the love, kindness, and support Dad received — and the wonderful people we met because of them.
