‼️SCHEDULE UPDATE‼️ After the latest batch of rain, times have been pushed back one hour. Gates now open at 6 pm, scholarship ceremony at 7:30 and game at 8 pm. We will update accordingly if any further changes are necessary.

All-Team Dinner last night kicked off the 10th Annual Drew Medford Tournament and Scholarship Awards, bringing together 29 teams from DFW, Midland, and even Arkansas.

Players heard from former MLB standouts Bryan Holaday, Chad Huffman, and Jantzen Witte, who shared lessons from the game and from life.

A powerful night to start an unforgettable tournament week.

Staff writer Carson Wersal was on hand to experience the Team Welcome Dinner Wednesday night at R.L. Paschal High School. Wersal played in the 2019 Drew Medford Memorial Tournament as a member of Aledo Bearcat Baseball. Speakers at the dinner included former TCU Baseball stars and professional players Bryan Holaday, Jantzen Witte and Chad Huffman.

Today’s the day! Come on out to !

The 10th annual Drew Medford Memorial Tournament begins Thursday, bringing 29 high school teams to seven sites while continuing a scholarship mission honoring the former Paschal and TCU player. Since its founding, the event has awarded more than $218,000 in scholarships to student-athletes.

The 10th Annual Drew Medford Tournament and scholarship awards kick off with our traditional all-team dinner on March 4 at 6 PM at Gus Bates Gym, as we welcome 29 teams and hear from special guests Bryan Holaday, Chad Huffman, and Jantzen Witte — all former TCU standouts who’ve taken the lessons of the game into their careers in MLB and their communities.

This is a night honoring leadership, character, and the legacy of Drew.
Dinner is provided by Chicken Express.
