🌸 Steel Magnolias had its first read-through yesterday, and we’re already so excited for this production! Rehearsals officially begin one month from now as our cast prepares to bring this beloved story of friendship, laughter, and love to the stage.

FORT WORTH, TX: Stolen Shakespeare Guild is proud to announce the cast for Robert Harling’s beloved comedy-drama Steel Magnolias directed by Staci Ingram, opening August 7, 2026, at the Stolen Shakespeare Guild Theatre, 3623 Decatur Avenue in Fort Worth.

Set in a small-town Louisiana beauty salon, Steel Magnolias celebrates the bond of friendship, family, resilience, and laughter shared among six unforgettable women. Filled with humor, heart, and moments both joyful and deeply moving, the play has become a modern American classic beloved by audiences for generations.

🎭 Stolen Shakespeare Guild Announces Cast for Footloose 🎶

FORT WORTH, TX: Stolen Shakespeare Guild proudly announces the cast of the high-energy musical Footloose, coming soon to Stolen Shakespeare Guild, 3623 Decatur Avenue in Fort Worth.

Based on the hit film, Footloose tells the story of Ren McCormack, a teenager who moves to a small town where dancing has been banned. As he challenges the town’s strict rules, he inspires a community to rediscover joy, freedom, and the power of music. Featuring electrifying songs like “Footloose,” “Let’s Hear It for the Boy,” “Holding Out for a Hero,” and “Almost Paradise,” this crowd-pleasing musical is packed with heart, humor, and unforgettable dance numbers.

The production is directed by Tatum Love and Liv Hopkins, with stage management by Stefanie Glenn, choreography by Mandy Sanders, and music direction by Lauren Morgan.

Performances will take place at Stolen Shakespeare Guild, located at 3623 Decatur Avenue in Fort Worth, Texas.

About the Audition
Dates and Times:
Saturday, May 16, 2026, starting at 10:00 a.m.
Location: Stolen Shakespeare Guild, 3626 Decatur Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76106
1) To schedule an audition appointment, email us at [email protected]. Include your contact information in the initial email. If you have many conflicts (August 1 – November 1), feel free to list them in your initial email, though you will still be required to write them on the audition form at the audition.
2) No monologue required! Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.
3) Callbacks: TBA
4) Optional: Join the SSG Auditions Facebook Group for updates, sides, and learn when all roles have been cast.
5) Bring a copy of your headshot and resume to the audition.
6) Video Auditions: While we accept video submissions for those unable to attend in person, attending the live audition is highly recommended.
7) Call Backs TBA, if needed.

Information
- Performances @ Stolen Shakespeare Guild, 3626 Decatur Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76106.
- Rehearsals @ First Christian Church, Irving South - 114 West Grauwyler Rd., Irving, TX 75061 (Rehearsal usually move to Fort Worth 2 weeks before the 1st show goes up.)
- Rehearsal schedules are tailored to actor conflicts. Be thorough and honest about conflicts from August 1 to November 1, 2026.

Non-Equity Actor Compensation
1. Performing in As You Like It: $60.00 Stipend
2. Performing in King Lear: $60.00 Stipend
3. SSG Actor Ensemble Members (those who have performed in at least 10 SSG productions) will receive:
• $30 bonus if performing in one production
• $60 bonus if performing in both productions
4. Two complimentary tickets for the first weekend of the festival.
5. Actors’ pass for opening weekends of future shows (valid for one year).
Note: Unfortunately, we are unable to provide Equity contracts currently.

Important Notes
1. Some roles may involve mild physical contact or intimacy, such as hugging or kissing, but all will remain at a PG level.
2. If made an offer for both shows, you must accept both roles as a package. Otherwise offer will be withdrawn.
3. Rehearsals and castings prioritize safety and inclusivity. Bullying and derogatory comments regarding race, religion, culture, gender, or identity will not be tolerated. We welcome individuals from all backgrounds to audition.
4. Participation in strike (post-production teardown) is mandatory to receive stipends and be in the shows.
5. Rehearsal schedules are tailored to actor conflicts. Be thorough and honest about conflicts from August 1 to November 1, 2026.
6. Casting Details:
- The Clown in King Lear has been pre cast but all other roles are available.
- Please have your decision ready when we call; a simple "yes" or "no" is sufficient.
- Avoid delays, such as needing to check schedules or consult others, as it slows the process. This should be done before you audition.
- If not cast, updates will be posted in the SSG Auditions Facebook Group. We do not make individual calls. Anyone is welcome to join the group.

Join Rosalind, Orlando, and a host of delightful characters as they flee into the Forest of Arden, where love blossoms, disguises abound, and wit sparkles at every turn. One of Shakespeare’s most joyous comedies, As You Like It is filled with romance, music, and the immortal line, “All the world’s a stage.” (PG)

King Lear By William Shakespeare

A kingdom is divided, a family fractured, and a king descends into madness. Shakespeare’s epic tragedy explores loyalty, betrayal, and the devastating cost of pride. King Lear remains one of the most profound examinations of power and human frailty ever written. (PG-13)

Director Bio:
Nathan Autrey holds a B.F.A. in Acting from the University of North Texas and an M.F.A. in Directing from the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University. Nathan has worked as Director, Fight & Intimacy Director, Movement Specialists and Actor.
