For 50 years, we’ve been proud to call this community home. What began in 1976 as the Arlington Girls Club has grown into Girls Inc. of Tarrant County, now serving girls across our community with opportunities to learn, lead, dream big, and discover just how much they are capable of.

Today, we’re celebrating the girls, families, partners, and neighbors who make the 817 such a special place to grow up strong, smart, and bold.

Our Future Ready Program gives girls in grades 9-12 the tools, experiences, and connections to confidently take their next steps, along with a community of friends and mentors cheering them on along the way.

From college and career exploration to internships, micro-credentials, resume building, scholarships, and hands-on experiences, girls get real opportunities to discover what’s possible and prepare for what comes next.

Back-to-school season is one of our favorite times of year, especially when we run into former Girls Inc. girls who are now bringing their own daughters, and even granddaughters, to join us. Talk about a full-circle moment. 🥹

We were proud to partner with Powerade, Dallas Pulse🏐, WISE DFW, and our sisters at Girls Inc of Metropolitan Dallas to host the “PULSE of a CHAMPION” speed mentoring experience!

🌟Our girls connected with women across the professional sports industry and explored careers in marketing, social media, community engagement, sales, game-day operations, and more. They asked big questions, heard honest stories, and discovered new possibilities for their futures.

We’re grateful to every partner and mentor who made this experience possible. When girls see women leading, confidence grows, possibilities expand, and dreams get bigger. ❤️

🎓✨ What’s a COLLEGE SHOWER? It is exactly what it sounds like: a community coming together to celebrate college-bound Girls Inc. girls and send them into their next chapter knowing they are supported, believed in, and cheered on!

Last week, we gathered to honor an incredible group of young women who have worked hard, dreamed big, and are now heading to college. 🌟 They left with essential supplies, words of encouragement, and a powerful reminder that an entire community is standing behind them.

🎧🎬💡 She loves music, movies or technology. Now let her discover the STEM behind them!

Girls in 3rd through 12th grade are invited to join us for STEM Saturday: Audiovisual & Sound Engineering and explore the technology behind concerts, podcasts, movies and live productions.

Participants will get hands-on with sound, media and engineering while discovering exciting future career possibilities.

Some volunteers lend a hand. Jori brings her whole heart. ❤️

Whether she is helping Girls Inc. girls earn their CPR certifications, introducing them to careers in healthcare, supporting summer camps and STEM Saturdays, or sharing her expertise with our staff, Jori shows up wherever she is needed.

Her time, encouragement and genuine investment in our girls have made a lasting difference across Girls Inc. of Tarrant County.
