✨ DESIGN LEADERSHIP IS FOR EVERYONE. ✨

Leadership happens through the ideas you champion, the questions you ask, the people you advocate for, the communities you build, and the impact your work has on others.

On September 30, we’re bringing the Dallas creative community together for Leadership in Design, featuring Chicago-based designer, educator, and creative leader Nermin Moufti, Cofounder & Design Director of Field of Practice. 🎤

But this evening is about more than one conversation. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet and connect with AIGA Dallas, United Colors of Design, CreativeMornings Dallas, and DSVC and learn more about the communities and resources available to creatives right here in DFW.

Come for the conversation. Meet your creative community. Leave inspired to think differently about how YOU lead. 💚

💬 THE BEST IDEAS START WITH A CONVERSATION. 💜

One of the most important parts of our AIGA Dallas Student Chapter Kickoff was making space for students to actually sit down together, talk, ask questions, exchange ideas, and learn from one another.

Because building a strong student chapter isn’t just about hosting events—it’s about building relationships, listening to each other, sharing experiences, and creating a community where everyone has a voice. 🤝

We loved seeing students from different groups connect around the table and start conversations that we hope continue long after the Kickoff.

At AIGA Dallas, we’re here to help our student groups connect, grow, lead, and build something meaningful together. 🚀

💜 Your ideas matter. Your voice matters. And we can’t wait to see what you do with them.

We’re excited to welcome Priyanka Cholleti to the AIGA Dallas Board as our new Director of Membership & Community! 🎉✨

Priyanka is a design and strategy leader whose career has taken a wonderfully non-linear path. She currently guides the AI transformation of Salesforce’s design organization, helping equip designers, researchers, and content strategists with the tools and support they need to do their best work in a rapidly changing creative landscape.

Before moving fully into design operations, Priyanka began her career as a computational fluid dynamics engineer at NASA, spent nearly a decade at Siemens working across engineering, sales, and product lifecycle management, and led a global supply chain transformation at Apple. Her journey continued through program management roles at Abbott, Intel, and PayPal—experiences that ultimately brought her into the world of design operations and strategy.

And alongside all of that? Priyanka has been an artist her entire life. 🎨 That combination of creativity, strategy, and systems thinking has given her a unique ability to make complexity feel manageable while making sure the people within those systems feel seen and considered.

As Director of Membership & Community for AIGA Dallas, Priyanka brings a researcher’s instinct for listening and a program manager’s gift for follow-through. She’ll be focused on strengthening the member experience, creating opportunities for meaningful connection, welcoming new voices into our community, and helping ensure that every member feels welcomed, connected, and genuinely represented.

We’re thrilled to have Priyanka bring her incredible range of experience, curiosity, and people-first approach to AIGA Dallas. Please join us in giving her a warm welcome! 👏💛

💡 DID YOU KNOW? AIGA STUDENT CHAPTERS AREN’T JUST FOR COLLEGES! 🎨✨

When you hear “Student Chapter,” you might immediately think of a college or university—but younger students can get involved, too!

AIGA Dallas wants to help introduce students to design, creativity, and the larger creative community at an earlier age. High schools, middle schools, and even younger school communities can explore opportunities to build a student design group and connect with AIGA Dallas. 💜

Imagine giving students the opportunity to:

🎨 Explore graphic design and creative careers
💡 Develop their creativity and leadership skills
🤝 Connect with designers and creative professionals
🎤 Learn from speakers and mentors
✨ Participate in creative programs and experiences
🌱 Become part of a larger design community

Whether you’re an art teacher, design educator, school administrator, parent, or creative professional, we’d love to hear from you if you’re interested in bringing more design opportunities to students at your school.
