Recovery Resource Council wrapped up three successful L4 Camps at Camp Carter, where campers spent the week swimming, canoeing, and taking on the high ropes. Our CEO said it best - sometimes people perform so well they pretty much force you to promote them.

YMCA Camp Carter is pleased to announce that Amber Loose has been promoted from her coordinator title to the role of Groups & Retreats Director! Amber joined our team in February of this year and has entirely transformed our operation. Amber's level of hospitality has created a welcoming and supportive environment like no other for our groups and guests. Since joining our team, our guest sentiment surveys have increased tremendously; groups rave about Amber every time. She is communicative, organized, hard working, and willing to go above and beyond to anticipate the needs of guests, not just react to them.

If you've been to Camp Carter since February, you've felt Amber's warm personality. This one was a no-brainer. We're lucky to have such great team members crafting the future of Camp Carter.

At the Y, responsibility means showing up, leading by example, and never cutting corners when it comes to safety. Brendon, our Aquatics Manager, demonstrated that commitment all summer long, including leading our final in-service training of the season. Even though the pool is closing, he stuck by his ongoing safety training schedule and conducted one final session to ensure everyone was walking away with as much as they could. Safety is a culture! Because of the dedication of Brendon and the entire aquatics team, campers and staff enjoyed a safe summer with zero accidents. Kudos to an amazing team for living our values every day! 🌟🏊‍♀️💙
