🎭 TALENT IS EVERYWHERE. OPPORTUNITY IS NOT.
In this clip, an actor from the new A Different World shares how he grew up in St. Louis wanting to pursue acting but lacked access to opportunities. He went on to play college football before eventually discovering his path through theatre.
His story is a powerful reminder of why access to arts education matters.
How many young people right here in Fort Worth have incredible talent but have never stepped on a stage, taken an acting class, or been introduced to a career in the creative arts?
At Maroon 9, we believe opportunity should never be determined by a child’s ZIP code or family’s income.
Through theatre arts education, youth performances, mentorship, and creative career exposure, we’re helping young people discover their voices, develop their talents, and see possibilities beyond what they’ve known.
But the need is greater than the opportunities currently available.
That’s why we’re committed to expanding our reach, bringing theatre arts experiences into more neighborhoods, schools, and community spaces throughout Tarrant County.
Because the next great actor, director, playwright, or creative leader could be sitting in a classroom right here in our community, just waiting for someone to open the door.
🎭 Help us create more opportunities. Partner with us. Invest in youth arts. Be part of what’s next.
