Greetings to you, my brothers & sisters in Christ,
It's a great honor and truly a blessing to be able to share with you the spiritual blessings that the Lord has given me. I want to talk to you about the Spirit this morning and what its purpose is in our lives.
First of all, you must understand that the kingdom of God is a spiritual kingdom. Now, the Holy Spirit is the great executive administrator of the kingdom. He alone is the divine workman who excites and carries out fully the mind of God, according to John 16:13-15:
"But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, the truth-giving Spirit, he will guide us into all truth, the whole, full truth. But he will not speak his own message; he will not speak on his own authority. But he will tell whatever he hears from the Father. He will give the message that has been given to him. He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come and things that will happen in the future. He will honor and glorify the Lord because he will take of and receive and draw upon what is mine and will reveal, declare, disclose, and transmit them to you. For everything the Father has is mine. That is what I meant when I said that he, the Spirit, will take the things that are mine and will reveal them to you."
Jesus sent the Holy Spirit into the world as the revealer of all things pertaining to the kingdom of heaven so that we can know and understand the greatness of His power in us, for those of us who believe. Being separated from the Holy Spirit, we continue to walk as worldly men. However, filled and controlled by the Holy Spirit of God, we rise above every power, every influence, and every limitation of this world.
According to John 16:14-15, the Holy Spirit's role is to glorify the Son, receiving the Son's words and disclosing them to us. This is where the Trinity comes into action, as the Son took revelation from the Father and declared it to His disciples through the Holy Spirit. This also applies to us. First, we are recipients of the Scripture's revelation that the apostles received. Then, the Holy Spirit provides us with personal illumination, allowing us to understand Scripture and see how it applies to our lives.
So, don't be upset when you don't understand what Jesus is doing in your life. Choose to pursue Him in the midst of your confusion and frustrations. God only explains what you are ready and able to handle. As it says in 1 Corinthians 10:13: "No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear."
You may not understand the circumstances you are experiencing, but God loves you and is taking you through a growth process. He calls for your trust and obedience. Continue to stay in His Word and seek Him diligently.
May God bless you and strengthen you in His Word.
With love from your brother in Christ,
