🐷 From Piggy Banks to Possibilities

Investing in your child’s future does not have to begin with a large amount. It can start with a simple savings goal and small, consistent contributions that have time to grow.

Families have several options to explore, including:
💰 Savings accounts that help children build healthy money habits
🎓 529 plans designed for future education expenses
📈 New federal 530A child investment accounts for long-term savings

Children born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028, may qualify for a one-time $1,000 federal contribution to a 530A account. Parents and guardians can also explore making additional contributions over time.

Every family’s needs are different, so learn how each option works, including eligibility, taxes, fees, investment risk, and rules for using the money.

We were honored to join providers from across the country at the Siemer Institute Summit, where our CEO, Kathryn Arnold, led a seminar on “An Empowered Mindset: Guiding Clients from Financial Fragility to Financial Stability.”

Kathryn shared what we see every day at Pathfinders: financial coaching works because lasting financial change is about more than numbers. It’s about helping people build confidence, develop new habits, set meaningful goals, and recognize their own ability to create change.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to share what we’ve learned through our work and to exchange ideas with organizations committed to helping families build greater financial stability.

At Pathfinders, we know that creating lasting change takes more than a strong mission, it takes an organization built to sustain and grow that mission.
