Big news in Fort Worth!

Building on Phoenix’s existing Ambassador Program, we established our first official student-led campus chapter at TCU during the spring semester. The chapter is now recognized as an official TCU student organization!

This milestone deepens Phoenix’s established connection with the TCU community by expanding student-led education, resource awareness, and outreach.

Phoenix Ambassadors serve as informed campus connectors. They raise awareness, help fellow students discover trusted resources, lead meaningful outreach, and create a more informed and compassionate campus culture, one where survivors are believed, supported, and never have to rise alone.

We are incredibly excited to see this chapter grow and witness the impact of TCU students choosing to believe, support, and empower their campus. This is only the beginning!

Are you a student at another college or university? If you’re interested in learning what starting a Phoenix Ambassador Chapter could look like on your campus, we’d love to connect. Email [email protected] to learn more.

Phoenix is THREE!!!

This year, believing, supporting, and empowering has looked like moving completely at each client’s pace, empowering her to choose her own path forward, building strong community partnerships, ensuring each client felt believed, supported, and empowered, and seeing a generation of college leaders step forward to say that no one should have to rise alone.

It has meant advocating boldly for each client while keeping her voice, choices, and needs at the center and equipping our community to become strong advocates for those who have experienced sexual violence.

For three years, we have been:

BELIEVING
SUPPORTING
EMPOWERING

Thank you for believing in this mission, supporting this work, and empowering Phoenix to continue showing up for every client we serve!

Three years in and we’re just getting started!

Whatever your experience has been, you deserve to be believed, supported, and empowered.

Phoenix exists for college students who have experienced sexual assault, sexual abuse, dating violence, harassment, or image-based harm — with the sole purpose of ensuring that women never have to face healing or navigating the aftermath of any unwanted sexual experience alone.

Our advocacy is trauma-informed and centered on your voice, your pace, and your choice.
Because no one should have to rise alone.

✨ Phoenix is 2 ✨

As we celebrate two years, we’re looking back at some of our favorite memories and milestones — the outreach events, trainings, and community partnerships that have helped spread awareness and build stronger support for women in Fort Worth. But the most impactful parts of our work will never be captured in photos.

They’re the moments engraved on our hearts:
- Sitting with a woman as she realizes she is not alone
- Watching healing begin when someone feels believed for the first time
- Walking alongside her as she learns she has choices, and the strength to rise

That’s why Phoenix exists. And that’s why we’ll keep showing up, year after year — until no one has to rise alone.

To all our Phoenix partners, volunteers, and the entire community that helps this work continue to impact lives, THANK YOU! You make it possible for women in our community to experience being believed, supported, and empowered as they rise! We couldn’t do this without you! 🐦‍🔥

Year 3, we’re ready for you!

You don’t have to be an expert to make a difference.

But knowing how to show up — with belief, support, and empowerment — can change everything.

Here’s what that can look like:
Believe — without conditions, questions, or assumptions.
Support — by showing up, listening, staying present, and honoring her pace.
Empower — with resources and options, honoring her choices at every turn.

Every action, every conversation, every moment of care matters.
Let’s be the reason no one has to rise alone.

This is our foundation.

To believe.
To support.
To empower.

It’s not a checklist.
It’s the heartbeat of everything we do.

At Phoenix, advocacy begins with how we show up — steady, safe, and centered on her.

Because no one should have to rise alone.

Advocacy isn’t always loud.

It doesn’t always look like a headline or a courtroom.

Most of the time, it looks like this:
quiet presence, informed guidance, and a deep respect for her pace and her choices.

At Phoenix, this is the kind of advocacy we believe in — bold in our pursuit of support, gentle in our approach, and always centered on the person in front of us. Because no one should ever have to rise alone.

This month at the 5 Stones Taskforce meeting, we had the opportunity to learn from Chelsea Davis from The Women’s Center of Tarrant County during a powerful training on Trauma-Informed Response to Victims of S*xual Violence.

Trauma-informed care is vital to the success of advocacy and the empowerment of the clients we walk alongside. It’s not just a best practice — it’s the only way.

At Phoenix, we’re committed to advocacy that believes, supports, and empowers - always. And we’re thankful for spaces to collaborate and be quipped by local partners doing the work alongside us!
