Friday was a blast! Fellowship and worship at the Manara (Lighthouse) Bookshop💡is always a highlight of our trip. We are now at the airport preparing to depart Lebanon. Bittersweet at best, but so thankful to God for how He moved this week and daily in the MENA region. Until next time, Lebanon! Scratch Thursday off the list! 📝 Today the team met with LSESD for breakfast and Youth for Christ for lunch. We loved hearing all of the missional updates, and how The Jonah Project can be a part of the progress. 🧑🏽‍💻 This afternoon, we went out and bought dozens of Arabic/English NIV Bibles, and surprised the Home of Hope children with new Bibles! 📖 We ended our day at a fun dinner with the former Home of Hope ladies that have aged out of the program. Talk about a great time hearing their updates and success stories! Relationships matter in underdeveloped nations, and these ladies represent 10+ years of faithful mentorship and vocational relationships with The Jonah Project. 🐳 All glory to God! 🙌🏽 Sherri Longino Whiting Samuel Whiting H Lee Matthews JR Holcomb

Our final day of Home of Hope Summer Camp went off without a hitch! ✅ Super fun crafts and games, incredible worship and devotions, and the hardest goodbyes ever. 😭 We are so thankful to God for these last two days. These children are the reason behind The Jonah Project. These children coming to know Christ is what missions is all about. Today was the day! Home of Hope Summer Camp Day 1! 🥳There is too much joy to share in one social media post! (👀 our recap video for all the good feels 🥰) Sun up to sun down was spent with the children of the orphanage. Fun was had, conversations were intentional, and the love of Jesus was shared in all ways. ✝️ It has been 10 years since our Fort Worth family stumbled upon these same kids, and the calling from God to love and support them has never ceased. Our Monday went so well! After a 15-hour day yesterday, we did our planned 1/2-day of sightseeing this trip. We experienced magnificent caves and waterfalls, that remind us how God has perfectly and beautiful created our world and the lands of Lebanon. The rest of our day was spent in planning sessions with our Home of Hope and SK!LD missions partners, as we prepared for our 2-day VBS camp tomorrow and Wednesday. Please be praying for the hearts and souls of the Home of Hope children, that they will be filled with joy in experiencing summer camp for the only time this summer! Day✌️is a wrap! After breakfast with our former Home of Hope boys, we attended church in Zahle with our friends at True Vine Church. What a worship experience this was… (👀 our Day 2 recap video for more!) We then experienced faithful fellowship with these boys riding bikes, making biblical art crafts, and gifting them some Texas swag, new tennis shoes, sunglasses and $50. (Most of them make less than $100/month and can hardly afford their utility payments.) Our mission partner, Noah, is truly a blessing of mentorship & support to these maturing boys as they tackle Lebanon life outside of the Home of Hope. 🥰🙏🏽💪🏽🇱🇧 Sherri Longino Whiting Samuel Whiting H Lee Matthews JR Holcomb
