Fort Worth Audubon Society (FWAS)

Fort Worth Audubon Society (FWAS) Fort Worth Audubon Society meets the 2nd Thursday of each month (except June/July/Aug) @ 7:00 p.m. Visit FWAS.ORG for a complete program and walk schedule.

All meetings in person, additionally the zoom is available for some. How to become a FWAS Member or simply renew your membership
FWAS memberships run January 1 through December 31. The amount is $25.00 for a single membership and $35.00 for a family membership. To use a credit card, you’ll need to do that online as we do not have a way to process credit transactions otherwise. Simply go to https:/

/fwas.org/membership-dues/, select the membership level ($25 or $35) from the dropdown list, then click on the Pay Now button. If you wish to make a payment in the old-fashioned way, please make a check payable to FWAS and send it to our treasurer Vickie Moore in care of FWAS at 3023 S. University Dr. #206, Fort Worth, TX 76109. Community Civic Grants Available
FWAS offers grants to community civic organizations to fund their projects that fit our mission statement. Our grant cycle is over for this season, but will resume in the Fall for the 2021-2021 season, and we will have a new application available here online as soon as it's made available. Monthly Meetings
The Fort Worth Audubon Society NORMALLY meets the second Thursday of each month from September thru May. 2022-2023 meetings will be a mix of in person and virtual meetings. Please, check out events for specifics. When in-person meetings start up, we plan to meet in Room 100 of the Research and Education Building at the University of North Texas Health & Science Center on 3500 Camp Bowie Blvd. Click on the above link to get more specific detail on location (see "Monthly Meetings" post) as well as announcements about speakers and topics on upcoming meetings. Periodical Newsletters
The latest issue of our newsletter is available for download. Please check out our archive of past newsletters by clicking on the Newsletters tab at top. Board Member Jim Jones has scanned in copies from past years and made them available to all! If you have old newsletters that we are missing, please let Jim know so he can get a copy from you to add to our online archive. Field Trips
Fort Worth Audubon Society Field Trips are open to all, members and nonmembers, beginners to world-class birders. We especially want to encourage and welcome first time birders to come on our local trips in the Fort Worth area. These trips are an excellent way to get started learning the birds and the best locations and seasons to find them. There are always people on these trips who are willing and able to answer any question about birds. Planning a visit to our area? Download a Birding Checklist specific for Tarrant County, Texas. We offer a 12-month Tarrant County Field Checklist, and four seasonal field checklists for Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall (click on the highlighted words to open each PDF document). Seasonal Shopping Reward Programs
Did you know that you can financially help Fort Worth Audubon meet our mission goals by shopping? Several businesses offer reward programs which donate a percentage of your purchases back to local non-profits. We are registered with Kroger, Tom Thumb, and Amazon Smile. Click on Fort Worth Audubon Announcements under the Forum tab for learning how you can register at area stores. For Amazon Smile users, click on their logo on the left side of this window.

Fort Worth Audubon Society was formed in 1941. The chapter has many members with diverse backgrounds. The one common element we share is our love for birds. Watching them, counting them, and improving habitat to make birds feel welcome in our North Texas region. If you are interested to learn more,....
