Yesterday I made an unplanned visit to the Main St Art Festival. My intention was only to take a nice stroll peeking at the art not planning to push through the crowds to enter a booth but I was drawn to one booth in particular and had to go into it. I was intrigued by their use of the naked human body. I laughed at the comments of the people passing by who were shocked by the nudity. I commented that the naked body isn't very taboo to me because of both being a massage therapist and teaching classes at the nudists club to raise funding for my nonprofit. They asked me to further explain my nonprofit and how I'm discovering physical patterns in my clients who have experienced severe trauma. The artist told me that he's a retired psychologist. With the most serious tone he said "You need to go home and write an article or blog about this right now and publish it. You are onto something very big and you need to put your name on it." I shook my head and said "Oh I'm not ready to share all of this publicly. Who am I to publish articles? I'm not a doctor or scientist. Heck I only just graduated as a massage therapists in 2020. I have so much more to learn." He said "then continue to learn but share what you have along the way. You will find the education you need but the information you have so far is valuable and deserves to be shared."

I took his advice. I gathered my dozens of document pages, my post-its, my note app thoughts, and my late night scribbling into one clear page introducing my theories and discoveries so that anyone who is interested can follow me on this journey.

I will be updating my website in the section titled "Current Case Studies and Research Findings"

Big shout out to Irene Ward Vivanco for the generous donation this morning. I was just speaking to someone last night with DV trauma who's looking for something to recover from her touch fear but can't afford much right now. This donation will help her get through these hard times and get the services she needs to get back on her feet for her and her kids.

Huge shout out to Julie Clark with Clark Crosses donating her profits to Reclaim Wellness.

Because of her generosity we are able to fund services for a lovely couple who unfortunately just lost their 11 year old son to cancer. We will be providing them with 3 trauma informed sessions with brain tap, 3 float tank sessions and 3 sound bath sessions.

I hope these treatments can help them develop the grounding techniques needed to make it through this tragic event.

Calling all business owners who have services that help with anxiety, depression, insomnia, and ptsd.

Reclaim Wellness has created a 12 step program for veterans struggling with ptsd to get weekly services that help them manage stress both short term and long term. Im talking guided breathwork, somatic movement, trauma-informed massage, yoga, float tanks, sound baths, everything. Currently the non-profit is funding it but because we have not been open long enough to recieve grants yet I am relying heavily on the generous monthly service donations of other businesses to keep the program running. This is a 501c3 company so everything will be tax deductible. But more importantly touching the heart of these veterans will stay with you for life. As a veteran myself who hit the darkest levels of mental illness and made it out because of the kindness of others, the impact these donations will have is bigger than words can express. I will be donating my services for as many as I can but I'm only one person.

If you know someone who'd be interested in joining the Reclaim Wellness team send them my way!

This week I've been dedicating a lot of time into my non-profit Reclaim Wellness where I help people recovering from PTSD with mind-body connection, somatic experiencing, and touch therapy. It has been A LOT of work but I'm hoping to start receiving grants this year. HUGE step that will hopefully allow us to serve 160 veterans per month!

Until then it is really important for us to get funding to keep serving the community.

I am working on getting a space to offer my relaxing Yin yoga Sunday afternoons to reset your system before the work week. I will be doing these as a donation based class with a minimum of a $10 donation.

I still offer my mobile paint and sip classes for parties and events at $35/person BYOB. Completely customizable art class brought to you. We can even do a pre-sketched canvas for $45/person (popular with paint your pet or paint your partner classes)

My mobile couples massage classes. $150 donation to Reclaim Wellness where I walk you through easy and safe massage techniques you can do for your partner as well as teach you how to keep from getting hand cramps!

I also will be working on a monthly donation option called "Sponsor a vet"

Are there any business owners out there who'd like to claim a 501c3 tax deduction while also helping the cause? We'd love to meet more people offering venue spots or volunteer vendors to create an event with us.

Thank you Brix Barbecue for hosting the most recent event! That was very helpful and afforded us to create a permanent website for the donation collection and services!
