đMeet Houston & Chrisđ
âMy name is Houston Hartung, and Iâll be a senior at Paschal High School next year. I recently had the incredible opportunity to publicly share my faith through baptism. While Iâve always grown up around Christianity, my Young Life leader helped inspire me to pursue a deeper relationship with God and has been an incredible example in my life. I wanted Chris to baptize me because he has consistently been there for me through both the highs and lows. Iâm so grateful for the role he has played in helping me take this next step in my faith.â
âHey, my name is Chris McGehee, and Iâm a Young Life leader at Paschal High School. Getting to walk alongside these guys has been such a blessing. I met Houston about a year ago at one of our first Campaigners, and since then, Iâve had the privilege of watching God work in his life, soften his heart, and ultimately lead him to a relationship with Christ. When Houston asked me to baptize him, I felt incredibly honored. Seeing the Lord move in Houstonâs life and in the lives of so many of our Young Life guys over the past year has been such a gift, and I canât wait to see what He continues to do.â
Watching our teenage friends truly understand what it means to follow Jesus and then choose to take the next step of going public with their faith, with all of their friends there to celebrate alongside them, is one of the greatest joys. Thereâs just nothing better than that.
